Waterford Crystal has been commissioned by The World Sailfish Championships to create a fitting trophy to honor this import and prestigious event. Waterford has risen to the task, producing a truly global award. Depicting a Sailfish soaring above a world globe, it captures the spirit of the event. The medium of crystal perfectly reflects the spirit of the ocean, translucent and shimmering. The trophy itself took 140 hours of painstaking sculpting and engraving by Waterford master craftsmen to perfect. It stands 30" high and weighs in at 22 pounds. Each year the winner will receive a Champions trophy approximately 18"high, an exact replica in every way as the perpetual trophy. |
